We're excited to introduce the people behind Kita’s Cyber Capture the Flag Quest, taking place over two lunchtimes with 12 participating schools in London, this March.
Behind this exciting challenge is a team of passionate educators and developers committed to making cybersecurity education engaging, accessible, and genuinely useful for students.
Founder, CEO
Heather Lyons
With 10 years in education as founder of BlueShift Education and 12 years in UX design, Heather has taught over 14,000 students across 23 countries. She's an Innovate UK Women in Innovation award winner, with many years experience working first hand in classrooms.
Co-Founder & CTO
Nathan Varughese
With over 10 years in machine learning and software engineering. Nathan brings serious technical expertise to making Kita's multiplayer coding platform work for students and teachers.

Former secondary school Computer Science teacher turned BlueShift Senior Teacher and Education Coordinator, Tom holds a Computer Science degree from the University of St Andrews, and ensures everything we do meets classroom reality.

Fiona MacNeill
A certified educator (FHEA, CMALT) and accessibility specialist, Fiona is a learning consultant and UX researcher based in Brighton. She specialises in designing inclusive experiences for learning and has extensive experience in education technology.
